Mountain Quail (Oreortyx pictus)

Order: CHICKEN-LIKE BIRDS (GALLIFORMES ORDER)
Family: QUAILS (ODONTOPHORIDAE)

Included in ABA Region.

Can be seen very briefly in mountain forests, . Best time to see them is early morning and possibly before sunset. They are secretive and tough to spot, , .
