Gambel`s Quail (Callipepla gambelii)
Order: CHICKEN-LIKE BIRDS (GALLIFORMES ORDER) | ||
Saw it in desert parks in southern Arizona, . Best time to see them is early morning and possibly before sunset. They are not very secretive, can be seen perching in trees in open habitat, , They do respond to calls and sometimes can be heard from too far. |
