California Condor (Gymnogyps californianus)

Order: NEW WORLD VULTURES (CATHARTIFORMES)
Family: VULTURES (CATHARTIDAE)

This Species is Endangered. Included in ABA Region.


The condor fly very high altitudes and has wide fly range, there are few spots were they are regularly seen, The place I saw them in close range was grand canyon at the bridge crossing. Vultures are seen perched at morning and dusk, but more likely to be seen flying high during the day. , , Vultures rarely calls, feels like almost silent birds.
